Welcome to Olympus
We provide high quality education with an emphasis on positive relationships to SEMH and neurodiverse students from the age of 11 to 19.
About our School (11-16) and Pathways (16-19)
Our school is located in a quiet area on the edge of ancient woodland, providing the ideal environment for our students to learn and achieve. We have co-regulation rooms on both floors, a sensory activity room, break out classroom, library, science laboratory, computer room and one to one rooms. At Olympus, we have a dedicated team of staff who deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, very similar to the National Curriculum. Students have the opportunity to take qualifications from Entry Level to GCSEs in a range of subjects, choosing options in year 10.
Our pathways provision provides students with a personalised curriculum, which includes English, Maths, PSHE and Work Skills. Many of our students receive staff support to attend college courses or work experience of their choice for part of their week, and our staff work to develop our students’ independence in attending these courses. Community places such as recording studios, riding stables, animal centres and vocational centres are used within students’ personalised timetables.
Olympus curriculum gives our students the chance to succeed in a safe and secure environment, where there are strong relationships that enable the students to experience and celebrate their progress and success. Having students who are secure in school enables them to succeed!
