High-quality Supported Accommodation Services

Our supported accommodation services are available across England, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We provide single occupancy and shared accommodation (non-ring fenced) for looked-after children or care leavers aged 16 or 17 with a range of person-centred support services.

This involves giving young people greater independence to master a wide range of essential life skills including budgeting, cleaning, and cooking to prepare them for fully independent living.

We also provide supported accommodation for young people aged 18 and over, as well as outreach services for those who require additional support in their own homes.

Our local teams are experienced in supporting:

  • Young people with challenging behaviour (such as drug or alcohol misuse, a history of violence, serious and/or persistent offending and mental health needs)
  • Children leaving care (from rising 16-year-olds to post-18)
  • Vulnerable young people aged 16 to 17
  • Young asylum seekers aged 16-17 years
  • Young people aged 18 and over with mental health needs
  • Expectant mothers and parents with children
  • Young people involved in gangs
  • Victims of child sexual exploitation

We also provide outreach and on-call services for young people not living in Horizon Supported Accommodation homes who need additional help and support.

Both Horizon Residential Services and Horizon Supported Accommodation work collaboratively to offer young people a semi-independent home which is hopefully their step towards living independently.

We are proud to be an Ofsted registered provider of supported accommodation.

Local Bases

Although our supported accommodation services are spread across various towns and regions, each project has a local base where our colleagues work. This secure base provides a safe space for young people to visit and receive help and support, or just have a friendly chat.

Feels like Home

Our supported accommodation services are fully furnished and well-equipped, providing a homely feel and welcoming environment. Our aim is to make young people feel respected and cared for, fostering positive relationships and engagement right from day one.

Bright Futures

Our work is underpinned by the principles of trauma-informed care and psychologically informed environments, and we specialise in support for young people with complex needs and a history of trauma and adversity.
