“A Noble Ambition” of Draycott Moor’s Senior Leadership Team last Summer, was to one day hold a full school assembly for our pupils, many of whom struggle with communication and interaction.
Staff have worked all year to build confidence, offering opportunities for pupils to interact in small groups and provide support in class to develop social skills.
How proud we were this morning to have 30 pupils together, supporting and congratulating one another for their successes and achievements.
Well done to staff who have adapted lessons and developed strategies that have helped pupils to achieve this. For our pupils, it is very clear when they have overcome a barrier to learning and taken a leap in their progress.
