Bullrush Cottage

Bullrush Cottage is a therapeutic home that truly places the young people at the heart of the service, The home believe that young people have the right to feel loved cared for and safe. The home has a team of adults that have a wide range of experience this enable the team to offer the highest quality care. The home is located in a small village called Ranton which is close to the town of Stafford in Staffordshire. The home is within a 30-minute car journey of Shrewsbury and 40 minutes to the town of Telford. The home is a four-bedroom detached house in the countryside that is surrounded by a very large gardens and has a driveway. Within the local village there is an active community life; young people are encouraged to become a part of its activities. 

Within easy reach of the home are lovely attractions such as Alton Towers, Ironbridge, Cosford, and many other great places to explore. In the vicinity of Bullrush Cottage are a wealth of education providers, employment opportunities, shops, leisure centre facilities, library, cinema complex, additional shopping retail parks, Stafford Castle and access to public transport including Stafford Train station offering access to other towns, cities and villages.

Bullrush Cottage is a warm and inviting home that’s large in size but feel cosy at the same time. There are two sleeping in rooms for the adults, an office and 4 bedrooms for the young people. There is a lounge, kitchen, dining room & a large family room. The lounge is where we watch TV or sit and read, play board games. We also have a computer that young people can use for school work or to play games on. The home inviting with lots of space allowing young people the opportunity their own personal space.

We have a Garden where young people can play and have fun, the garden is very large with lots of space to run around. There are large trees and shrubs all around the garden that helps to keep young people safe. With the large garden available it is easy to facilitate typical family activities such as football, badminton, cricket, a paddling pool and within the garden is also a trampoline and a garden set of tables and chairs to sit in the garden to relax. A range of farm animals can often be seen grazing in the nearby fields or passing the house.
