Woodbury School recently welcomed West Midlands Police Officer Richard Faulkner for an educational workshop focused on understanding hate crimes. As part of his ongoing work with schools in the region, Officer Faulkner delivered an engaging and informative session aimed at raising awareness among pupils about the nature and impact of hate crimes on individuals and communities.
Throughout the workshop, pupils took part in thoughtful discussions and interactive activities that encouraged them to consider the importance of respect, empathy, and inclusion in everyday life. They responded with maturity and curiosity, asking insightful questions and showing a genuine willingness to learn about this sensitive but important subject.
To further the conversation beyond the classroom, Woodbury School is also planning a workshop for parents and carers. This upcoming session will provide families with the opportunity to explore the same themes and continue these discussions at homeāsupporting a shared understanding across the school community.
The school looks forward to continuing its partnership with Officer Faulkner and building on this important work to help create a safer, more inclusive environment for all.
