Welcome to Cressey College
Welcome to Cressey College. Our approach at Cressey is outcomes driven, focusing on the appropriate positive outcomes for each young person. There’s a strong focus on improving literacy, numeracy and skills, and on developing personal and social skills. We follow the National Curriculum, individually tailored to each of our young persons’ needs, talents and interests.
Our school is nurture based, underpinned with positive behaviour support. Our environment is caring and supportive. We find positive ways to work with each and every young person, regardless of their previous educational experiences or challenges.
The outcomes of our curriculum are highly individual. However, we strive for all young people to leave the school with a range of accredited qualifications and the independence skills to follow their chosen pathways. We report to parents regarding the progress of their child on a termly basis.
A large independent specialist school in Croydon for children and young people aged 5 to 19 years. The school meets the needs of pupils with a range of needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech, language and communication difficulties, and autism.
We are proud that Cressey succeeds where previous schools have been unable; and we succeed in the long term, not just briefly.
