Draycott Moor receive their registered Centre Plaque.

Draycott Moor College have been presented with their ‘Duke of Edinburgh’s Award’.  They now have a registered Centre Plaque.

Staff have undertaken training to be able to offer this to our children and young people. This is part of our aim to provide opportunities for our young people to develop social skills, independence skills and foster values of contributing to society.

All of our pupils are currently engaged in our ‘helping hands’ projects, when for an afternoon or morning each fortnight, classes engage in community support projects (for example the canals and waterways maintenance project, tree planting) and for those over 14, this goes to the service component of their DoE reward.

We are aiming for all our young people to achieve at least their Bronze Award during their time with us.

Well done all!
